Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Saio ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Saio is a meeting recording and summarization app. The App records audio with your permission, transcribes it using third-party speech-to-text services, and generates meeting summaries using artificial intelligence. Recordings are processed on secure servers and are not stored after processing is complete.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
Saio offers a free tier with a limited number of meetings and a paid Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple's App Store and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must obtain consent from all meeting participants before recording, in accordance with applicable local laws. You may not use the App to record conversations without the knowledge of all parties where required by law. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App.
6. Privacy & Data
Your privacy is important to us. Audio recordings are sent to OpenAI (Whisper) for transcription via our secure servers. Meeting transcripts are sent to Anthropic (Claude) for AI summarization. Audio files are deleted immediately after processing. No audio or transcript data is retained by these third-party services beyond what is needed for processing. Meeting transcripts and summaries are stored in your personal account and are not shared with other third parties. We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage. All data processing occurs on EU-based servers. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on data collection and usage.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, code, and content are the intellectual property of Saio and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your meeting transcripts and summaries belong to you.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that transcriptions or summaries will be 100% accurate. The App relies on third-party AI services which may occasionally produce errors. We are not liable for any decisions made based on the App's output.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saio and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the App.
